Description
These blends of Em's custom formulated essential oils (aka volitile oils) or single note pure selections are for scenting your own unscented products. Use about 10 to 15 drops of essential oil or blend to one ounce of your base carrier product for broad scale application. A carrier is water (and water based products like witch hazel) or fixed oils like jojoba, olive, sunflower, almond, avacado, and so forth. See below for an explanation of the essential oils and blends available.
~ If you use or purchase Em's unscented poducts, for example balm, cream, shaving gel, shampoo, unscented glycerin soap and etc., you can custom scent with these essentail oils using the above formula as a guideline.
~ Due to the concentration of essential oils, they should be used in a carrier base. The few exceptions are discussed in the FAQ for a deeper dive into the subject. For example, a drop of tea tree or lavender essential oil on a cut, insect bite or burn is reputed to be beneficial.
See our FAQ Aromatherapy and Body Care section for more information about using essential oils. Patch test for sensitivity. Store away from heat and light.
